Remember employees have life outside of murphys.work with schedule,AND not change it so often
Rotate closers/ employees to be off every other weekend!!! Allowing for church ,family,OR home time.They should have openers to stock coolers,period.managers should do the trucks (Stock) cashiers have a lot of running to do by their self and still FULFIL needs of customers.I would also have the beverage shed,labeled,adequate lighting,AND assign one separate employee,to come in and take care of beverage shed only!!!onced a week this should be a priority,but not on the cashier. When heavy rain or storms are active,employees would not be demanded/expected to do outside duties."No rain gear is furnished," SO DO NOT FORCE ASSOCIATES TO OUT SIDE CLEANING,.MANAGERS IN NORTH ALABAMA DISTRICT ARE RUDE,SMART MOUTH PEOPLE,I WOULD RECOMMEND,ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENTS FOR THEM.NONE OF US ANY BETTER THAN NEXT,REGARDLESS OF JOB TITLE. I WOULD ALSO RECOMMEND A HIGHER START PAY,RATHER THAN THE 9.00 PER HOUR IN MARSHALL COUNTY ALABAMA.I WOULD ALSO CONSIDER REHIRES,WITH OPEN MIND,AND BASED ON SITUATION THAT OCCURED WITH PAST EMPLOYMENT WITH MURPHY'S. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A VOICE, AND YET BE HEARD "COMPROMISE " THERE ARE NO BATHROIM BREAKS,NO LUNCH BREAKS,YOU HAVE TO FIT THAT IN WITH JOB DEMANDS.SO IF ONLY ONE EMPLOYEE PER SHIFT,THEN CLOSE WINDOW,SHUT DOWN PUMPS,10 MINUTES . I WOULD ALSO ALLOW STOOL,FOR SLOWER MOMENTS,WHICH ARE SELDOM,BUT ALSO STOOL FOR STORE COMPUTER. I WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE IN CONSIDERATION,THAT SMALL CHILDREN HAVE APPOINTMENTS,MEDICALLY OR SCHOOL REGISTRATION ETC,THESE EMPLOYEES OF YOUNG SMALL CHILDREN SHOULD HAVE MORE YNDERSTANDING,AND SCHEDUALE AROUND,THE EMPLOYEE,NOT HAVE THE EMPLOYEE TO SCHEDULE THE MEDICAL,OR SCHOOL,OR DAYCARE,AROUND MURPHYS.I WOULD NOT CHANGE SCHEFULE IN MIDDLE OF SHIFT,OR WORK WEEK,UNLESS EMERGENCY.EMPLOYEES PERFORM BETTER WITH STABILITY . I WOULD ALSO NOT HAVE MY EMPLOYEES TOILET,SITTING IN MIDDLE OF CANDIES,CHIPS,CIGS AND OTHER EATABLE STOCK.I WOULD ALSO HAVE INTERCOM/SPEAKERS ABOVE OUTSIDE WITH LOW TO MODERATE MUSIC,WITH REGULAR ADVERTISEMENTS,GREETINGS,AND PROMOTIONS FOR MURPHY'S PRODUCTS..

Share the tax break money with the employees like many other companies are doing. Fed X, OD, Walmart and many many others that really care about their employees

Make sure the stores have adequate labor to staff their sites. They are made to run sites on the most minimum of labor allowed. If you come from a Circle K or other such companies you are in for a shock when you see the labor demand.

I will make sure the area is nice and clean so costumer feel good and safe before they pull up around the area and always welcome them with a smile.

Quit being hypocritical in aspects like work life balance. Tell us?not to work holidays because they won't pay any extra now cause the company found it counterintuitive and the managers worked holidays. Fast forward 2 weeks later send an email stating what days that they really feel all the managers should work which is practically leading up till Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas Day. now we are required a whole quarter advancement notice on our vacations meaning that in 3 months something may go south but yeah we are going to be held accountable for Staffing oure stores before we can take vacation yet district managers have no clear outlines and can take vacations on a whim within 2 days notice and leave anyone else in the district in charge to call when they may not want that role yet do it because they feel like the other people in their District are unhappy and truly need there assistance there for putting extra stress on themselves wanting to make them question their entire life and there are 7 year commitment to this company

Stop making cashiers stock the fridges, they don't have the time, bring some one in once or twice a day for a couple of hours to do the stocking only !

Make sure that no store goes understaffed. When the store doesn't have enough people, it gets very stressful and hard to focus on much of your life but the job that was supposed to be part time

I would look more into how the manager handled the situation and not terminated because of someone else.
