It’s not like any other place I’ve worked before. The people are different, the way we work is different - it’s more lined up right. Everything is separated by different teams so no one person gets too much work. I guess I’m not too sure about the other departments but in the clinic we don’t have to do things most clinic MAs or the front has to do. We can just focus on our patients there that day and don’t have to check insurance or answer the calls or follow up on the blood we draw. We have a whole PCC team who supports the MAs so they do all the follow up. We get more time for actual patient care not paperwork. and my manager actually knows how to do my job and help me when I need it unlike other places where they just look at you and can’t lifts a finger

Lunch is at different times all the time but at least there is always food, we take turns

I’ve personally brought in at least 8 people to work here haha and got a nice bonus for it too! I think the management has a lot to do with why I recommend it. Ours is good and I plan to be part of it someday. It’s nice to be where others cheer for your success and want to see you move up. My manager actually wants me to take her job! She gets to move up if I do so it works for everyone. We are growing and most places are doing layoffs plus we are different so we get to be unique and also patients love us!

Pretty sweet gig

It’s a great job. I’m happy with the benefits and I like my manager and other back office MA’s. I get to visit other clinics and sometimes that is nerve wracking but then I’m always surprised that I like it there too. We do lot for our patients so I feel good when I go to sleep at night – better then other offices all about the money.

Stable, happy and growing

Very stable company that is growing fast. I am growing too and pretty happy here. I was trained at the corporate office and mostly work from home. We go in a few days every now and then to print our secondaries and mail out appeals. My manager knows more about medical billing & coding than I could ever dream and she’s very nice to work for. I think she’s been here along time, so, very helpful. I can’t think of any complaints.

Epic EMR

Thank goodness we have a great EMR. It wasn’t easy to launch but now we are all up and running on Epic and they built a lot of templates so I can see my patients ASAP. My last practice had a terrible EMR and it makes a world of difference in my day. Its linked up to all hospital systems so I know instantly when my patients are in ER or admitted. I already met all my CME requirements because its integrated w/ UTD and all I need to do is chart and get credit. Huge time saver. I will probably stay here forever unless they change the EMR, haha.

Good pay, good job

I make good money for a job I actually like. I used to get in trouble for chatting up customers at my last job and I now get bonuses for doing it here. I feel like I finnaly found my home. Just learned my manager is willing to train me to work in the back so that will save me a ton of money on school. I will be able to make even more money once I train as an MA. 5 stars, I def recommend.

My personal journey

Honestly, I’m an awesome employee. Any where I have ever worked has been a good experience, probably because I do the work to succeed. Managers usually like me because I pick up the slack and every job always has some lazy employees that actually help me look better. This job does have some challenges already though. I wanted to become a manager and wasn’t selected. I guess someone else applied before I did and now I need to wait for another clinic to open. That should be soon but I don’t have a date yet. I feel like I do a lot of jobs for my manager but I am not made at it because I know he is going to bat for me to make my promotion. I will continue to wait but not more than 1 year in total and I told him that. I’m already 6 months in so will see what happens. I know I am worth it lets hope they see it too.

The coworkers are great, and the pay is good. You do not get a scheduled lunch, it is a primary care that is open for 12 hours that does not close for lunch??? Not great support from upper management, money driven company.
