As an experienced technician, I have never worked at a clinical practice that expected me to hard sell contact lenses annual supplies and when I received a list of leads, patients who still had allowances left for contact lenses and was told to call them and remind them of our rebates on annual supplies, I pretty much knew what this company was all about. The overbooking of the schedule is another example of the profit driven business philosophy they operate by. Patient care is least important to this company. They discriminate against patients with Medicaid suggesting we don't book more than two state insured patents a day. I've become so disgusted with this job and this company that it's a huge struggle every day just to mentally prepare myself to go to work. I would suggest not working for this company unless you enjoy hard selling and cold calling.
Go undercover and actually see what happens in your stores! Walk in and act as a customer/patient. Don't call in advance, don't give regional/district managers, and most especially general managers any advance notice. Just pop in! See how the GM's treat the average employees! *Especially* in stores with extremely high turnovers! Seriously! There are some very unstable people running some of these offices!
If you were in charge, what would you do to make MyEyeDr. a better place to work?
Train employees properly. Give them time to treat the patient properly instead of worrying about useless reports. Pay them a fair wage for the work they do.
It will always depend on the needs of the office that you work in. Do NOT go into an interview thinking you will have set hours or a set schedule. I was told my hours would be 9-5. Bold face lied to. Never the case. If this is a place where you really want to work or you really need a job, make sure you understand that your schedule needs to be flexible.
No tell a lie about My Eye Dr meaning that we are one big happy family. Let them know that your management has preference.
Insane they have you fill out forms for everything even taking the trash out and clean the bathrooms yes you clean the bathrooms and then you have to check off that you did it if .you don't do Opticians work it's like assembly line work at an auto plant
I think it really depends on their need in the office. If they're desperate, I don't think a background check or drug test are performed.
