Myriad Music School Careers and Employment

Myriad Music School is a really special place to work. I felt really valued during my two years there. The owners are invested in building a loving and supportive culture for their students and their employees. I enjoyed the admin structure and organization they provide, but I was also given the freedom to use my own ideas and put my own spin on the lesson format. The owners at Myriad care about consistency throughout the school. They train their teachers so every student gets the best possible technical foundation. I worked at another music school in the Bay Area, and there was no training or consistency between teachers. Every student at that school had a completely different experience, depending on their teacher. When I had to leave Myriad due to a family move, I knew my students would have a smooth transition to their new teachers because of the training all teachers receive. I have learned so much from the owners and my colleagues at Myriad. If you want to improve your pedagogy and see what a joyful music education really should look like, I highly recommend teaching at Myriad!

great structure, clear purpose, and super rewarding!

worked at this great music academy for over a decade. great school with clear educational goals and very organized problem solving strategies for all parties involved!highly recommend :)

If you have no life this would be a good fit.

They offer no family work life balance. Work you until they find another sap to take your place. No job security or advancement. If you only need part time income its not bad but you can't live off it in the Bay Area. NO benefits even if you work full time, but they will take your income and put it into a 401k that only benefits the long term employees. If you like independence this is not a good fit for you. You will have at least 3 bosses who each expect different things to be addressed all simultaneously.

Best Music Academy to work at in the Bay Area.

I came to Myriad by an Indeed job posting two weeks before college graduation in 2017. The interviews went amazing and I could tell the directors and owners were passionate about what they did and believed in. Little did I know that I stumbled upon the workplace that would foster immense personal growth in classroom management, music instruction, and confidence as a whole person. I worked as a voice instructor, Kindermusik instructor, contracted elementary music teacher, and one of the administrators. All of the staff are true masters of their crafts and all-around great people! I learned so much about classroom management and teaching styles from comprehensive paid training provided by our director. There were opportunities for continued educations with scheduled guest speakers twice a year. No other music school has this type of positive energy and true care for every employee and student. It has been three amazing years of growth with instructors and directors I can confidently call my friends. I am going to absolutely miss being at Myriad but I know that all future staff will love it just as I did!

Amazing place to work

This is by far the best music school I have ever encountered. The work environment is the perfect balance of supportive and creative. The directors of the school are absolutely amazing. I will be very sad to leave.
