Director (Former Employee) –  San Carlos, CANovember 17, 2017
Tyrannical style of management on the commercial team, and highly political. Hire smart talent only to not listen or harness their potential. Disempowering.
However working with the Eng team and some folks on the Product team was always great.
Pros
Free lunch and snacks. Great mission and science. Great working with Product and Clinical teams

Process discipline needed,
Associate Director-Revenue Cycle Management (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXAugust 15, 2017
The organization lacks process discipline which makes it very hard to strategically plan and execute the Mandate. This has resulted to increased frustration from strategic business leaders who are accustomed to process Discipline,

Too Big to Keep Culture
Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXAugust 13, 2017
Natera has too much going on at the bottom levels. It is difficult to find someone with authority to make changes to procedures.

Pay is poorly evaluated for many positions.

For Enty-Level: Good Work, Bad Schedules
CLA (Former Employee) –  San Carlos, CADecember 17, 2016
For entry-level positions, the work is interesting and pays well, but the schedules are very demanding. The culture and people of the company are top-notch.

Insurance Billing Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Austin TXNovember 20, 2016
The current management is not skilled nor do they understand revenue cycle billing and insurance billing. The employees were great to work with. Pay is not on par with the positions, benefits were good. There is no determined culture and one needs to be put in place.

Research Associate (Former Employee) –  San Carlos, CAJuly 1, 2016
Fun place to work at because of all the perks but management need a lot of improvements. It is more of a who likes you in order to move up than the qualifications you may be obtaining.

Former On Site Recruiting Coordinator
On Site Recruiting Coordinator (Current Employee) –  San Carlos, CAJune 23, 2016
Natera is a good place for someone who can get their foot in the door, and build up an experience. I've always had the preference to work internally for an agency but I was nice enough to give working in house corporate a chance. The people that I have come to meet are nice, however the people come and go quick. To add to this, the person who brought me in eventually got laid off and she knew how to mold people. This shows that when the leader of a team, everyone will soon leave gradually causing turnover to be high and that the place is not stable for a career. Everyone is a contractor regardless even though some of them are classified as a full time direct because people who get hired will soon get replaced.
Pros
Free Lunches and good resume build up
Cons
High Turnover, lack of mentorship and stability, everyone is contractor regardless
