great place to work but the salary is well below industry standards. No remote work option. Lot of new things to learn. Employee training almost non-existing.

My manager was the typical micro manager. Constantly telling you about how to do your job. Mind you I was there for 10 years. 8 years longer then here.

Next there was no job flexibility. All work had to be done onsite. There is no reason why remote access couldn’t be granted.

Overall, the culture was stale and low morale

I believe that departments and projects were poorly managed. Too much weight and deference was given to contractors. there was little cohesiveness to the various departmental initiatives.
Pros
Free breakfasts
Cons
Reliance on off site contractors.

Paid Time Off is exceptional. You don't have to struggle for the first couple of years as you for other companies. The option of working remotely, if your child is sick and you aren't, is not available.
Pros
benefits
Cons
working remotely is not an option

I have written a generally positive review because they are that way. Like many enterprises that are usually well funded, they do not fund SME positions well and the slot was lost at the end of the fiscal year.

The NRUCFC has a great culture of what industry they work for and provide benefits to. The employees are not paid well, the management is extremely poor, and the work life balance is high. They are very behind on their times when it comes to technology. There is no working from home, and the benefits are not great at all, although, they pull you in with saying a pension. The 401(k) matching is terrible. The CEO is a wonderful man and very easy to speak to. The lower management is poor.

Depending on the department, work/life balance is lacking. The benefits package is awesome. Pay won't be top tier to balance out the amazing benefits package. However bonuses are offered.
Pros
Company Gym
Cons
Workload

Use to be nice, family/employee oriented. People were friendly and talked to each other. After move to new location things changed drastically. You learn what you need/want by being proactive. Organization/department structure is bizarre due to lack of knowledge of how to structure. Terrible managers who do not know how to manage people. Manage by coercion, fear, and exclusion. Discriminatory practices. Favoritism. Not about what you know, but who you know, how much you can brown-nose, and who you can throw under bus in order to succeed. Many positions do not translate to real world. Jobs stay the same, so risk losing certain skills. Many become lackadaisical and perform only minimal requirements. SVPs/managers gossip with subordinates and allow subordinates to malign other employees without offering offended party opportunity to have a say. Extremely cliquish which does not foster good work environment. Must look over your shoulder and watch your back at all times!!
Pros
None
Cons
Many! Horrible narcissistic executives/managers, allow execs/managers to run amouk with their own agenda, no promotions for the deserving, make you feel less than you are, no raises, minimal merit increases if lucky, blatant favoritism, discriminatory practices, no telework & never close so expect you to come to work in blizzard conditions, no empathy

It is a secure and conservative financial institution. Compensation is pretty good with the short-term and long-term incentives. Health care and dental care insurance coverages are generous. However, the company is hostile toward teleworking. An one-hour lunch break is also mandated.
