The most enjoyable part of the job is the end users that I helped.

Poor Upper Management
Operations Manager / Shipping Manager (Current Employee) –  Dayton, NJMay 15, 2018
Upper management tends to be a revolving door of characters. It is a whimsical company whose growth direction diverges daily to a point where the operations shifts 2 to 3 times per day.
Pros
Ample work-life balance
Cons
Constant firing and hiring

Stressful and hot
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  Perris, CAMay 9, 2018
The managers and supervisors put a lot of pressure on the employees to get stuff done by a certain time. While they offer a lot of overtime, they are strict with the dress code. Employees are not allowed to wear tank tops or leggings. It gets super hot and people will steal fans from other departments, making the days super hot and uncomfortable. A lot of people who work there, feel entitled to certain things like pallets, or certain pallet jacks, or that they are just better than others. Some of the jack there can't even be used, and there's not a lot of space to pallets of boxes. Management is very strict on breaks, your 15 minutes start from the moment you start walking to the break room, so you have to rush to get there if you need to use the restroom. Some supervisors are very hot and cold, and they will be nice one minute and then flip the next minute. Most of the area is very dusty and dirty so don't wear your nice clothes bc it will get dirty.
Pros
Lots of overtime
Cons
short breaks, short lunches, hot, dusty

Receptionist/Buyers Clerical (Former Employee) –  Gardena, CAMay 7, 2018
This is the kinds of job that has the owner/ceo in house 24/7. He is there to make his business grow and expects his employees to be available when an issue arises. Regardless if its afterhours.

Regional Loss Prevention Manager (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVMarch 14, 2018
A typical day involves an audit, store team training, and trend report investigations. Additional follow up with direct reports and or contract guards as assigned. Occasionally there are large ORC, theft or burglary incidents to resolve as well. Time management and organization is key to execute one's role at National Stores Inc.
Pros
pay and company perks

Great place to learn and gain experience, however it becomes very stressful and overwhelming due to the simple fact that they want to be very controlling.

Dreadful
Real Estate Administrator (Former Employee) –  Gardena, CAAugust 29, 2017
It was to good to be true to find a job with a good compensation but that was because the person was leaving and they need someone asap. Do note company does not pay for any of your health insurance the culture environment when you work is like you looking at a slave factory. I feel bad for the people who work there they look super stressed and run down the owner does not want to put money into the company and provided better resource for it employees they work with a ancient software that make the job even more difficult. I wasn't there long when they let me go which I was okay with the building is unorganized, pretty much a unhealthy environment they do not care much of their employees. The moment I was there people confided on how the owner can mistreat their employees which can lead to yelling making employee fearful. They complain about the head of human resource Mark that he prefer to move up his kind doesn't do much for the company and gets paid pretty much to sit in his chair. I've seen employees quick within months this company is in constant rotation the train is minimal for their high expectations.

I do hope they read this and take this as good costructive criticism theres more to mention but I hope they do something about it and care for their good employees who have family to feed.
Pros
Nice people but very run down from the stress they occur
Cons
compensation for some corporate people are good

Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVJune 12, 2017
I think that the owner has a fantastic vision and is a great force of nature.
That being said, currently owner has forgotten that upper management isn't who actually makes his company great but the on ground level employees are his greatest assets.
They are being over worked and grossly underpaid. Completely forgotten have no sense of appreciation. There are absolutely no incentives for people to maintain a level of high quality performance. When the only ones getting any kind of incentives are district or regional management that are usually non-active players via phone or email with information that is sometimes repetitive due to companies email system.
Pros
For management competitive pay
Cons
Insurance premiums to high, work life balance non-existent, company employee relationship is disjointed.

The worst company you can work for
General Manager (Current Employee) –  Kissimmee, FLMay 10, 2017
No work life balance, no incentives, no encouragement at any level, no training, this company is not organized, cares nothing about retention or you as an employee. You are only a number and they will replace as quick as you were hired.
For sales team the pay is horrible and the work is outrageous and is way to much for any team.
Pros
nothing
Cons
everything is bad
