About National Veterinary Associates

Caring for animals is a profession unlike any other—it’s the only field predicated on the love of a patient who can’t tell you what’s hurting and can only look to you for help. It takes a special kind of person to do that job, or the jobs supporting that job. NVA doesn’t create those special people—we find them, cultivate them, and give them resources –

Oconnor Rd Animal Hospital is a place you don't want to work.

The NVA Story: For the Love of Animals and the People Who Love Them

The NVA Founder's Story

Becoming a veterinarian was a natural fit for NVA’s founder, Dr. Stan Creighton. For 23 years he was a practicing veterinarian. He started NVA in 1996 after recognizing fewer young veterinarians were not in a position to buy a practice due to student debt and the financial demands of the business. NVA and Dr. Creighton believed, and still do, that veterinary medicine is best practiced at the local level. When you become part of the NVA Community, you keep the culture, people, and name intact.
