You get out of it what you put into it

The was training but it was a little overwhelming. There was a lot of support from management and other publishers. A lot of money can be made but be prepared to dedicate your life to this.

not good

Owner of company was never there. It was ran by inexperienced employees that provided no guidance. My overall experience working there was terrible.

Unique publication to work for

I enjoyed working with NA, I only wish there had been more consistent writing opportunities for me. I was given free rein on writing topics. They did provide helpful contacts and resources during and after my assigned workload. Communication wasn't always the best and there was a steady decline in my services, but overall I enjoyed working and writing for them.

self employed franchise owner

I managed all functions of my franchise. All efforts paid myself. I sold the advertisements, produced the magazine, distributed the magazine, did the billing/accounting. All inclusive small business.

good part time work. supportive owners and a good opportunity to make money. It is the kind of job where you get out what you put in and you need to be a self starter

Good company

I launched this franchise business in New Mexico. I sold it in 2012. A great new learning experience for me. I worked around the clock, seven days a week. Very time consuming launching a new business, and very rewarding.

I loved working for Natural Awakenings Magazine, because the main purpose of this line is to help people. My boss's inspiration rubbed off on me, as we saw what a difference the Magazine's health tips and benefits were making in people's daily lives all around the world.
