The throw you under the bus policy was unexpected and difficult to manage

Travel 4 to 5 days per week. Expected, but gets old.
Dealing with insecure people above you who are self proclaimed experts with no data to support such.
Dealing with people who may have above average IQ,but little to no EQ.
Keeping the client within scope of the statement of work and or keeping those running the project from going out side of scope, resulting in time and cost over runs. ( frequently happens and easily managed if operational experts scope the job with the Manager or Sales guy who has never implemented a single project deliverable.
