back breaking work
Set Up Crew Member (Former Employee) –  DeKalb, ILOctober 13, 2018
i would normally help production lines. typically moving 2000 pound pallets with just a hand pallet jack. i would be forced to do the most vigorous of work because im a bigger younger guy (which i understand) but we were not suppose to do the same things every day because it would be bad for your health.

Lord of the Flies?
Warehouse II (Former Employee) –  Freedom, WIOctober 4, 2018
To be brief:
There are more than a few concerns, that are being forged at Nestle USA, Freedom location. For frivolous and even contrived reasons; people are walking on pins and needles, in constant fear, of losing their jobs. It would appear to be an effort to refuse sharing its actual culture until, the door closes. Openness and feedback is muzzled, fundamental warehouse practices are foreign, training is abysmal, improvement is relative, differing levels of management, contradicting each other. Top Management directly identifying employees as "children". Supervisors and Managers repeatedly using fowl language, proposing to be professional. (not excluding review time) Frequently observing one persons actions, held to a different standard, when applied to someone else.
People are closed-mouthed and robotic. A new employees friendly greeting, is often met with a frown and no response. You will learn, asking for vital information, leads to being labeled. No shortage of two-face behavior, for the sake of evading the spotlight. When people run out of ammunition, they grab a piece of paper and begin to create. Otherwise, normal conversation translates to a full-on conspiracy and reality ceases to exist. Hurling accusations, they will never lack.
Management's suggested use of cameras, paraphrasing; to keep people in line (Ref. second week of orientation), is evidently
(through their repeated mention of there existence and use)
a mechanism, designed to instill fear which can only be defined as superiorly distasteful and unprofessional.
A security measure, second only to
more... a plethora of other uses(?)
There presence would not have even been considered, without the (hysterical/comical) constant drip of being reminded.

Machine Operator (Former Employee) –  Itasca, ILOctober 2, 2018
For me it was an excellent company
One more day of where I felt in family which I enjoyed to the fullest.
Which I have learned different way of working in a group.
As for the administration, I consider that it is made up of a good professional administrator.
Our place of work and culture is very well coordinated since each of the customs are a little different since we are a company with different cultures.
The most difficult part of the job is when you commit a hurt due to lack of information.
The most pleasant part of the job is to continue learning different things daily.

Job was great, the people were great. There was always an opportunity to make more money by working overtime. I would recommend this job to anyone that was looking for a factory position.

Panner (Former Employee) –  Burlington, WISeptember 30, 2018
Management will mandate overtime, last minute with no consideration to how it effects your life or health. They simply don't care. In short, they treat you with less consideration then they do the machinery.
Pros
Pay and benefits.
Cons
Everything else.

merchanising and ordering of product
Sale Representative (Current Employee) –  MarylandSeptember 21, 2018
merchanise according to Nestle Standards.Make sure you front face products and match tags with products. Order the rightful products that fills the shelves and promotional items. Working in the backroom freezer is the most difficult part in the job. The most enjoyable part is when all ordered products fills the shelves.

Horrible culture and atmosphere at Little chute
Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Little Chute WISeptember 21, 2018
Hard place to work if your not a favorite, HR manager is a puppet along with most management doing whatever they are told to do. Very hard to work in this environment because if your not liked management and co-works do whatever it takes to make sure you get fired. Found out over the years to shut up and do your job, a lot of back stabbing co-workers here so watch out!! I know of a case of harassment that was turned into management and the only thing they did was tell the person who turned them in, it was all covered up by the wonderful management team here in little chute. If your looking for short term work it might be ok, but if you want to be happy and have a career stay away from this place!
Pros
can take long smoke breaks

Poor if any management

Nestle was a good place to work
Trash and Bail and Line Operator (Former Employee) –  Mount Sterling, KY 40353September 12, 2018
You definitely got your hours working at Nestle. I did packaging as well as Trash and Bale. They always had something for me to do. My co-workers were nice. My bosses were pretty easy to get along with. Overall, Nestle is a good place to work. They have a store where I can purchase product there for me. It's actually a pretty neat outfit to be honest.
Pros
Good pay, good amount of hours.
Cons
The temperature is cold.
