Student Worker in Las Vegas, NV
on April 7, 2022
Overall supported culture. As with Universities, administration can be messy. There are lots of loopholes one must constantly go through, and inefficiencies that slow down the workflow. Some incompetent supervisors also hinder success.
Science Tutor in Henderson, NV
on May 16, 2022
Overall it was a great company to work for as a student. The managers know you’re a student first and are very flexible with your schedule. Working as a science tutor is tough because you’re a student as well so during midterms week when you’re trying to study, students tend to bombard you with appointments so it gets a bit stressful.
Student Desk Assistant in Reno, NV
on April 10, 2020
This was my first real job experience, so I felt it was a good introduction to the job industry. I was able to develop customer service related skills
Part Time Instructor in throughout Nevada
on March 23, 2020
Mind you, I was an adjunct professor, also referred to as a part time instructor. This type of job does not pay well at all. Unfortunately, colleges across the nation are going with this model, and it's one of the few job opportunities people with a PhD have anymore. I took employment in another sector as soon as I could find a job.
Instructor's Assistant in Reno, NV
on March 2, 2020
The NSHE is a wonderful place to get experience in your field of study. They work around your class, and work, schedule if necessary. They are able to let you chose the instructor with whom you'll be working.
