Lots of laughs, work was a little mundane at times, not a lot of creative projects. Plenty of self-improvement courses through New Era University. Nice working for a company that cared. Lots of parties and events, great workplace culture.

New Era is a place to find great people to work with and it's a fun environment but their career development and promotion opportunities are lacking. I would recommend working here for their company culture and their benefits but not for advancement.

Sales Associate and Cashier (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMay 11, 2018
Pretty fast-paced environment. Of course, can have the occasional slow days depending on the weather or sport season. Customers of all races and backgrounds/countries walk-in; Over-all was a decent experience for customers as well as the associates.
Pros
Experience
Cons
Random pace on different days

Made sure workers had what they needed at their work station to make their production for the day. I also helped others by showing them how to pick up speed and make their production.

Key Holder/Supervisor (Current Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 28, 2018
Friendly environment but could be competitiive at times. Days go from being relaxed to fast paced. Great place to work if you are into sports. It would help if you know your teams and logo for NBA, MLB and NFL.

Assistant Manager of the Lifestyle Business Unit (Former Employee) –  Buffalo, NYJanuary 8, 2018
Work life there was always busy with a lot to do but overall the facepaced setting made it a fun and exciting place to work. The owners are very good people in the Buffalo area- I was happy to be a part of the team.

Can be a great place to work
North American Logistics Manager (Current Employee) –  Irvine, CAJanuary 3, 2018
I work in a regional office so the opportunity for advancement is very limited. Has been a great place to work for many years, but new management is not adding to a good work culture and work/life balance. The leadership has always been an issue, and now the people who were true leaders are no longer with the company and that is being felt throughout the company. New Era in the past would not be reactionary, and now that has changed. Layoff's happen even though the company is still doing very well.
Pros
Benefits, Product, Work Environment, co-workers
Cons
Lack of solid leadership, growth options, reactionary, Lack of planning

The IT culture is now changing at New Era Cap. It is now demanding and load of work to full-fill business needs. Business would like to have everything done in a flash.
