A typical work day would consist of meeting with five small groups of three kids everyday to work on reading and writing. Then I have time at the end of the day to prep for the next day with those same groups.

New Haven Public Schools generally try to do the best they can do in a challenging urban environment in a mid-sized American city. There are perhaps 30-40 schools in New Haven, and they vary widely in terms of school culture and in administrative challenges, so it's not really fair to make general statements about NHPS as a whole entity.
