Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJanuary 18, 2018
Despite being a Temporary Worker with no benefits, I found every moment with this company enjoyable.
The managers were friendly, helpful and hardworking. the administrative team was able to approach projects with a team mentality, allowing for new ideas or perspective to better shape the approach or presentation.

All in all, I recommend looking into their work and their team.

Corporate culture, smart colleagues, bad management
Business Analyst/Project Manager (Former Employee) –  New York, NYDecember 10, 2017
- Definite corporate culture in the organization
- Hard to innovate anything or make much change yourself
- Really smart people working there
- Very interesting to see how NYC works behind the scenes
- Employee's experience depends highly on their immediate manager. There are some bad ones.

NYC Parks
Outreach Coordinator (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJuly 4, 2017
Great place to work - Partnerships for Parks. Lovely people. Must be prepared to work with community and do evening and weekend hours. Working for a city agency means you must be able to tolerate some bureaucracy.
Pros
Community service
Cons
Bureaucratic hierarchical structure

Senior Vice President (Head of Internal Audit) (Current Employee) –  New York, NYJune 27, 2017
Constantly changing landscape makes EDC an exciting place to be.

Employees can gain a lot of experience in a small amount of time.

EDC's pool of talent is incredible.

The people who work here are exceptional and hard working. The level of passion for the work they do is through the roof. Leadership does a lot to ensure employee satisfaction and has an open door policy for feedback.

Productive Company
Assistant to VP -Senior Director (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 26, 2016
Energetic company with foresight. Enjoyed working for the VP/Director. Assisted the VP and AVPs in all aspects of scheduling. It appeared that some of the AVPs were very competitive, which could sometimes create unnecessary challenges.
Pros
Assisted in seeking out and cultivating small business in urban areas.
Cons
Did not see a diversified mid-management with respect to ethnicity.

Administrative Assistant to EVP (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 20, 2015
Good company with hard working, ambitious employees, but did not encourage employee lateral moves. My experience working with the V.P. of the group was exceptional, but the individual left a few weeks after I arrive.

Excellent and professional group of people who were friendly and got the job done.
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJune 24, 2015
I really enjoyed working with everyone at NYC Build It Back. Great job culture and the people who I worked with were very friendly and very professional.

Each day at work, I worked on a project that helped a victim of Hurricane Sandy. I liked working with the management because they were approachable and were open to suggestion.

I learned how to use CMS on the computer. The hardest part of this job was leaving due to my contract as temporary ended.

Decent workplace. Not for ambitious people
Financial Analyst (Current Employee) –  New York, NYJune 19, 2014
This is a government place. The workplace is friendly. But it does not advance you much career wise. There is no challenges thrown your way, and people seem to be contempt to do the bare minimum.
Pros
Great Midtown Location, Great Benefits
Cons
Lack of advancement opportunities, Somewhat boring
