Average. Could have been better. People are nice but management is too top heavy. Good location in downtown and easy to get to. They better get their act together or they might go under.

Great place to work
Research Assistant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJuly 11, 2017
The company offers bare/yoga class during lunch or after work hours to the employees. Also they are flexible with work hours - great for parents with babies.
Pros
Free beverages - coffee, teas, coke, milk.

Interesting Place
Accounting Associate (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMay 6, 2017
The people are friendly. The benefits are nice. Work environment and atmosphere is good. Office is nice too. Interesting place overall. Growing rapidly. Nonprofit so pay was low for NYC. Skeptical about career advancement.

The most enjoyable part of the job was working cross departmental and working with the best of the best in Biotechnology. It was an absolute privilege.

Room for growth

The New York Genome Center was an exceptional exciting place to work until new management
Director of Office Operations (Former Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 17, 2015
There was never a typical day at work. My work ranged from working with accounting and finance to improve cost related metrics and budgets. Worked with HR on on boarding new hires. Worked with IT to oversee enterprise computing needs and software. Trouble shoot facility related issues. Worked cross departmentally to implement policies. Worked on Emergency management team. It was my business to have big picture view of 130 employees to ensure all was operating smoothly and create guidelines that would enable that.

This was a start up company. When I began there were 20 employees , when I left there were 130.
Pros
Exciting technology and at beginning collaborative culture
Cons
Rapid turn over on executive level
