IT Technician (Former Employee) –  Indianapolis, INMarch 14, 2019
if you do not fit into the niche of of the current management you will not do well within this company. No chance of advancement unless it is within the warehouse and being promoted from associate to possibly a lead. Very fast turnaround of employees. 30% of the employees are seasonal and temporary.

Horrible management
Associate (Current Employee) –  Industry, CAMarch 7, 2019
Management in RLC division is horrible. There is new changes with upper management that have been much needed, but aren’t making the changes fast enough. Operations manager has no idea what she’s doing. She’s created a culture in which favoritism and lying thrive. She has had teams crumble underneath her where an entire department leaves, not once but twice. The job is an okay inbetween job, but there is no future or career to be made when working under current RLC operations manager or SR.LEAD.

Agent Support Desk (Former Employee) –  Whittier, CAMarch 5, 2019
If your a T1 agent the job is easy if your T2 the job is still pretty easy, but the majority of your customers are gonna yell at you. Newegg does a really good job at trying to show appreciation for its employees. They may pay pretty low compared to other call centers but they have little events to keep you in good spirits. Most employees are kinda geeky which makes it a fun place to work. Even the supervisors would play street fighter with the rest of us in the game room. if circumstances had been different I wouldn't have left.
Pros
Free food, discounts, and a really cool staff.
Cons
lower pay compared to other call centers.

Newegg is a fun, laid back atmosphere with a lot of overtime to offer.
Machine Operator (Current Employee) –  Indianapolis, INMarch 2, 2019
My review for Newegg would be that they are the best company I have ever worked for. Not only was the compensation perfect but the people and management was about perfect too. I would recommend Newegg to anyone who is looking for an excellent workplace and looking to make a lot of money.
Pros
Extra hours, positive management, great people, great incentives, and extra money

Only Good for Experience on Resume
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Whittier, CAFebruary 22, 2019
Its a shame how bad it is actually working here, when the interview and training showed promise. During the interview and training, you get a false sense of value and an illusion that you can grow within the company. Haha. No.

Once you're out of training, you are on your own and held accountable for everything! Even things that arent your fault. Every minute of your day is monitored for productivity. Should you dare have to go to the bathroom and stop taking calls for 2 minutes, expect an instant message from a supervisor asking why you arent taking calls. God forbid your computer crashes (which happens atleast once a week), your adherence to schedule will take a blow and your entire average will be brought down.

Out of training, sure, there are opportunities for transfers to other departments. But those chosen to transfer are the product of blatant favoritism. Having even 1 unscheduled absence for any reason will essentially ruin any chance at a transfer/promotion. If attendance is not perfect, theres no chance.

When theres an issue with your system, if your struggling with the job, or simply need to talk yo someone for help in any situation, goodluck. Your instant messages will get left on read with no response. And you guessed it! Any slip up that occurs when supervisors fail to assist, will count against YOU as the employee!

But hey, during christmas time, they have raffles! So i guess thats cool too.

Honestly, the only good thing about working here is the fact that you have experience when you inevitably seek for another place to work.
Pros
Vending machines in the lunch room, raffles 2x a year, work experience.
Cons
Literally everything else.

Merchandiser (Current Employee) –  City of Industry, CAFebruary 18, 2019
Employees are treated a bit like robots. Work is easy because you are not expected to think. Management is old school, and has no new ideas. Lots of politics and favoritism if you are Chinese. I doubt anyone will read this or care.

Work Anywhere Else
Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Whittier, CANovember 29, 2018
Great as a first job, if you want to work part time on phones while pursuing something more important, like college or a better career.

I would highly recommend to do your best to transfer to a different department where you are more valued. The more you work in customer service and try to assist other departments, the faster your value and respect for the company will drain.

Customer Service is mismanaged. You will be treated as expendable. The culture at this office is annoying. If you could sum up everything terrible about working in an office - people eating smelly, messy food at their desks, coworkers taking unauthorized breaks and using computers for personal use, loud boisterous and immature coworkers, pressures of escalated customers and meeting KPI standards, uncoordinated work scheduling that results in class action lawsuits, shady vendors selling possibly counterfeit merchandise, mismanaged returns and refund processing. Newegg corporate culture excels at this.

Turnaround is shockingly high. They do nothing to retain the people they have. Corporate relies on poorly trained overseas staffing from China for overnight chats, Newegg CS has to clean up all the messes involving language barrier miscommunication, insufficient training for overnight staff, blatant misinformation, etc.

Management and supervisors at this location are promoted within and will delegate as many tasks as possible to others and take credit for the work. Management will not know what to do during website issues and will delegate responsibility and blame to other departments. Overtime
more... is pushed on people when other departments falter. It's a high-stress job with little incentive to do better. People can skate by on the minimal amount of work and shoulder the burden on other departments. 100% pass-the-buck culture.

The most enjoyable part of this job is leaving for the day. The hardest part of the job is coming back the next day for the same mistakes, the same grind, the same attitudes and the same platitudes.

After a while, you will empathize with customer frustrations at dealing with this company. You will wonder why you are being paid so little for the frustrations you put up with.

It's only a matter of time before Amazon consumes this crippled embarrassment of a company.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Whittier, CAOctober 19, 2018
Working here was fine at first until I realized management has favoritism. It made working here more stressful. Once they have a reson to dislike you, they find any reason to call you out on the slightest thing. They are quick to point out your flaws but do not give recognition for good work. Good job to get customer service experience. Other then that I would not recommend.

Some managers are not qualified to be managers
CE/IT Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Industry, CASeptember 19, 2018
During my time at Newegg, I learned a lot. Mainly regarding the corporate structure of Newegg and it's so called managers. Many of these managers are not qualified to be managers, however they still are. They constantly micromanage and throw their underlings under the bus when questions come from the top management. Great place as a stepping stone for your career path if you can handle the ridiculous culture.
Pros
Friendly coworkers, company holiday celebrations
Cons
Bad managers, constantly throwing employees under the bus

Terrible management. There's only career growth if you're part of the "inner circle" with top management. If you're part of the inner circle, you'll see promotions frequently. If not, put in your two years of mediocre work and you might just get a promotion.

Warehouse Team Lead- I (Former Employee) –  Indianapolis, INJuly 2, 2018
It was an awesome place to work, there were just too many hours , and me having class and a 5 year old I could not work more than 8-10 hours a day. If you like long hours it is a great place to work.
