One week! And for those who applied numerous times and didn’t get a response, my advice to you is to revaluate your resume, I did and got a call back and starting work in August 2019
I would say everyone interviews differently, thank God the unit nurse manager who interviewed me was super cool and very welcoming. He only asked me three questions. They are as follows.
1) How do you describe yourselves professionally?
2) You are given a list of things to do at the beginning of the shift. If the nurse asked you to do something that is not on that list, what would you do?
3) What would you do if a family member is complaining about the way you take care of there love one?
To be honest I had more questions for him than he had for me lol.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital a better place to work?
I would create a more autonomy work environment and get rid of open concept work stations at the corporate office. Put Employees first. In return they will work harder and take good care of the patient's when they feel cared for and valued. Create more work from home positions to minimize the space needed to save money. Also, I would hire excellent managers with high EQ with great and amazing people skills to manage the department and or position.
What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital?
Do your research on how to answer interview questions, this guy on youtube helped me a lot his channel name is Let them talk Tv. Most importantly, Let your light shine by being your authentic self, and be honest. It is natural to be nervous, however, tried your best to calm yourself and be confident to who you know yourself to be professionally in the position you are being interviewed for. Good luck 👍🏽
Applied online 18 days already. No call received. Status states under consideration...what are you thoughts?
I went on 2 interviews at NYP in October but haven't heard anything since but when i check my status on the NYP career page it says in process. Can anyone tell me what that mean and how is the hiring process?
It will say in process until they offer you a job. Don’t worry, their is a process you have to go through until they hire you. If they were not interested, it would say no longer under consideration, but once it still said in process, then you still have a chance of being hired. Good luck!!!
