Challenging workplace with future growth throughout the company
Site Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Ridgeland, SCMay 11, 2018
Each day can have its challenges that force you to improvise and use imagination. No day is the same on the IRM (Integrated Resource Management) side of Nexeo Solutions. The best aspect of my job is finding value in manufacturing waste. When most people see just trash, I see potential money returned to the company.
Pros
Continuous movement, Physical, Environment friendly
Cons
Weather challenges

Inside Sales Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Dublin, OHApril 30, 2018
While working at Nexeo, one has their own customers however you are on a team. It's a wonderful concept to have the backup support needed to be successful while doing your job.

Regional Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  The Woodlands, TXMarch 18, 2018
This was a fine, growing company until late 2013. When managerial perosnnel, strategies changed, so too did the quality of the overall experience. This went from heartbeat to heartbreak in a short period of time.

Customer Always Came First
Chemical Regulatory Affairs Project Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Moraine, OHFebruary 24, 2018
At Nexeo Solutions, the customers always came first and it was through the great team efforts that were applied by everyone that helped to make this possible. The facility Manager always provided great leadership and the team of employees were always willing to support one another with no questions asked because that waste time and time is money. Nexeo Solutions - Dayton always had the "let's make it happen" attitude and it worked!

Senior Manager (Current Employee) –  Dublin, OHFebruary 13, 2018
Young company (newly public) that has a lot of maturity still needed. Internal processes and higher level managers are still content doing things as if they were a smaller, non-public company and upper level management (CEO, CFO, CAO) do not deliver a message from the top on the importance of being compliant with regulatory agencies making the jobs of the "doers" extremely difficult.

Customer Solutions Representative (Current Employee) –  Columbus, OHJanuary 29, 2018
most days are stressful, the volume of orders and phone calls can be overwhelming at times. Too many different programs to track and enter orders. When someone is off work workload is doubled backing them up, can be too much at times.
Pros
fair pay

Manager (Former Employee) –  AlabamaJanuary 20, 2018
Nexeo is so eager to be great that they throw new things out before people are properly trained. They put you in charge of a new poorly planed initiative, or load a lot of work on you without any formal training then punish you when the program fails.
Pros
Salary
Cons
Knee-jerk reaction Leadership

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Dublin, OHJanuary 11, 2018
All employees are screaming on the inside for someone to please nail down a plan and provide clear, achievable steps to get there.
Fun things planned, but some are too busy to attend

Over Worked Management and Underworked Drivers
Driver/Material Handler (Current Employee) –  Birmingham, ALJanuary 10, 2018
In many ways Nexeo is a good company to work for, yet on the other hand they can also be bad to work for. We as drivers never know if we’re getting 40 hours in a week or 30. With that being said, it falls back on the sales department and them doing a pretty sad job. The manager of the facility I work at is running 3 different facilities and mine gets put on the back burner. Insurance package pretty much sucks and they seem to play favorites with their drivers. Meaning some drivers get better/longer runs than others. Being paid be the hour, that really takes away money from you.
Pros
Decent Hourly Pay(even though they’re one of the lowest paying in the chemical industry)
Cons
Not enough hours.

Senior Account Manager - Nexeo Solutions (Former Employee) –  ConfidentialJanuary 5, 2018
Fast paced, growing company with competent management and a positive workplace culture. Roles tend to be very demanding though objectives and expectations are fair.

Its a good job.
I learned a lot working there.
The management was good.
The job was like for a cold and hot environment.
Wasnt nothing hard about it.
The most enjoyable part about this job was that you met a lot of people's.

Forklift/Tugger Driver (Current Employee) –  Greer, SCDecember 14, 2017
If you are on 3rd shift the supervisors told us that if you call above them.your probably going to get fired. Ive asked to be moved to first several times nd managers tell me theres no positions available but workers tell me they need help in several places l. They lie, have no sympathy for your life outside of work.

Working at nexeo is a great place to learn team work. Nexeo also has a great safety programs. The mangers are great to work with to. My job there was a forklift driver. I would pick cages up full of cardboard boxes and dump them in a baler. I would also load trucks with bales, cages, and parts.

Bureaucrats
Shift lead (Current Employee) –  Mount Vernon, ILNovember 10, 2017
dishonest management, took over contract from previous company with intent to fire and replace every single one of the employees. cant manage dumpsters when theyre understaffed OR overstaffed, but will complain about employees who are working hard to try to change that. They emphasize "teamwork" but unfortunately their definition of teamwork isnt too effective.
Pros
pay is okay, they clean my uniforms as well.
Cons
poor management, born to fail.

Senior Lean Leader (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXNovember 4, 2017
First few years were quite satisfying. Accelerated Lean implementation with plenty of support. A few years later, after multiple supervisors, lean became an afterthought and the lean managers became cost cutters.

Driver Mat'l Handler (Former Employee) –  PANovember 1, 2017
Good company overall, just bad people running it. I was hoping to retire there, so much for that dream. It's never good when a company gets bought out. Also your just a number in a big company, I think companies get to big and forget about you. That's where the number system comes into play.
Pros
Manegement
Cons
Working by yourself.

Management lacks direction
Customer Service/buyer (Former Employee) –  Dublin, OHSeptember 25, 2017
Management does not support their employees, because of the lack of support employees are reactive to issues/failures and are not comfortable making decisions without management approval. Employees that ask questions as to why some decisions are made are deemed insubordinate.
Company lacks direction and morale
