The most useful review selected by Indeedtraining is a joke, management is a joke, overworked and under payed, job responsibilities often changing so you don't know who is responsible for what, no accountability when things don't get done,
Pros

Bad place to work.
Care Provider (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - September 9, 2023
There is really nothing good . Management is terrible. They are running company into the ground. Moving up is braised on who you know and who likes you. Management does not listen to concerns about poor employees. Company makes providers do telemarketing and other mundane tasks. Medical assistants have the power to do as they please. Promises when hires about teamwork and a clinic provider management is false.. now all benefits removed . A premade schedule is made and inflexible . There is no enjoyable part of this job. The quality of your work is based upon the tasks given to you not your medical or care provided.
Pros
The clinics are well decorated?
Cons
There is no good reason to work here

Run…. Don’t walk away from this company
X-ray Tech (Former Employee) - Round Rock, TX - March 19, 2023
Management is terrible, HR is terrible. No work life balance. Run… don’t walk away from this company. Policies change everyday and only to upper management’s benefit. God forbid you get sick- kiss your job goodbye! No proper PPE techs are constantly exposed to Covid and punished with ‘points’ if you become sick. Very negative work environment. Medical assistants become regional managers and very condescending. I could go on… go to another company one that will value their employees.
Pros
Uber eats
Cons
Management, poor PPE

Fast pace environment
Medical Assitant (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - January 22, 2023
Constantly changing and unclear policies with unattainable standards to reach. The training period is only six days. Evaluations are based on what your coworkers think of you opposed to actual work done. Stress in the clinic depends on your coworkers. The environment punishes good employees to compensate for the lazier employees. There is no performance raises, no lunches. There is no manger present at the clinic. The manager does not look in the EMR or perform an internal investigation before criticizing employees. The turnover rate is high in all position from techs to upper management.
Pros
uber credit, free visits as a patient
Cons
no lunch, little support, limited growth

Disloyal, Management SUCKS!, Discrimination
N/A (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - November 18, 2022
I would NEVER refer a person to work here! Horrible work moral and horrible management. If you are a young professional do not even give them your time. They will overwork you, the managers will find any way in their power to discredit you, and lastly they will say they're on your side and backstab you.
Pros
Free Lunch
Cons
management, workplace culture is poor

Certified Medical Assistant (Former Employee) - Humble, TX - September 26, 2022
the company changed so much during the 3 years i worked here, from 2014-2017. unfortunately there was some change in management that just made it too difficult for me to be able to stay for the long haul.

High turnover rate
High turnover rate, underpaid, stressful and toxic work environment. Trainers were far more supportive than management was. Bonuses were great depending on your time with the company.

NON Productive work place
Medical Assistant (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - September 9, 2022
This Co. use to be Amazing when the CEO was in charge! Now upper management is a Total joke! Everyone is now treated like garbage and no matter what you do or how much you do it will never be enough! Not a place to work if you want to be happy and want your mental health to stay in tact!

Horrible workplace
Patient Care Tech (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - July 19, 2022
Do not work here. This place has no room for growth. You constantly work from the time you clock in until the time you leave. You will not get a lunch break and you will work consistently run the other way whenever you see NEXT LEVEL URGENT CARE.
Pros
None

Over worked and under staffed
Medical Provider (Current Employee) - Texas - June 29, 2022
I love the clinic environment and my co-workers; however, management is very strict about staffing by the volume. Work long hours and feel over worked and under staffed. Often stay late to chart when under staffed. Recently changed EMR to All Scripts and it is a nightmare.
Pros
Compensation, benefits, bonus, free concerts, parties
Cons
little to no lunch, long hours, work under staffed frequently

Very stressful
MA (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - May 13, 2022
Stressful and crazy most of the time. Most locations already have clicks in place so not fair to the new employees. No management around until you do something wrong. No support.
Pros
Free Uber Eats
Cons
If management doesn’t like you, watch out!

Eh
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/ NCT (Former Employee) - Sugar Land, TX - May 4, 2022
Company was great when I first was hired on. It was very small, not so many clinics and not so many employees. Everyone basically knew one another. Until greed came to play and everything went downhill.
Pros
Chances to win free event tickets.
Cons
Lunch feels like its non-existent. You eat when you can, Certain locations lack teamwork, Also the amount of changes that they do. Patients can’t keep up.

The manager is a dirty under handed person
Medical Assistant (Former Employee) - Sugar Land, TX - April 11, 2022
Some of the people were nice but most would stab you in the back Management were a bunch of angry employees who previously worked in hospitals and should have stayed employees

Horrible Management
Clerical (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - September 22, 2021
Terrible place to work! They do not value employees! You are just a number and replaceable. What a shame, they use to be such a great company with a family environment. I guess that happens when you focus strictly on profit. Senior management doesn’t even acknowledge you anymore. They expect production but then lock themselves in their office all day.
Pros
Benefits
Cons
Poor management; stressful work environment

Strong family core values with a lot of room for advancement
Medical Assistant (Current Employee) - League City, TX - July 29, 2021
NLUC has been a life changing positive experience for me. Coming from a job that paid by physical check (that sometimes was late) to a stable organization with a full HR and management team really was a game changer. The staff and management are both friendly and supportive. They will make work feel like a fun place to be at since they surround you with wonderful people you can trust and lean on. I strongly recommend this company to anyone looking to make a positive change to other people’s lives while making new friends and memories along their way.
Pros
Advancement of skills and knowledge, competitive pay
Cons
Covid explosure

Stressful work environment
Medical Assistant (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - July 28, 2021
Clinic staff are constantly pushed to see more and more patients with an almost nonexistent lunch or breaks. Management and corporate push more and more responsibilities on clinic staff after cutting down training. Work procedures and processes are constantly changed with little direction to staff. It's become clear that this company sees patients as a number and care more about financial gain than they do the wellbeing of their employees.
Pros
Competitive pay
Cons
Stressful work environment, toxicity, horrible management
