Pretty good company, I worked for a fairly new division in CO. that they were still in process of building and starting up. The process and system they use for field techs is very out dated and wasted quite a bit of time. Lots of documentation to cover everyone's backside. It seemed the office personnel (Which you mainly deal with the admin/dispatchers) was very non informative or educated on the processes of inventory procurement and base systems of how construction type environments operate, nor really had any clue of what its like dealing with warehouses and manufacturing companies. This seemed to create a huge barrier and almost little fight between office and field workers. If the office has an experienced and seasoned Regional Service Manager that is present and available to mediate and smooth out what the dispatchers do not understand or know I think the system would work in how it is designed. That role is important due to the fact that the RSA has his/her own duties and tasks to complete and get done as well as communicating all of it to his upper management as well. As usual Nextech expects you to answer the phone and be willing and ready to work when the clients are in need or have issues. The hours are okay at times since its all commerical work, less jobs per day than residential (which is great less go,go,go). I think this company, if you want to drastically change from service or field work to computer/management jobs. I would personally go for where you want to be from the start!

Decent pay and hours, vacation time periods are not as strict as most HVAC companies, tries to stay positive.

Cons

Kind of difficult to move up, switch positions depending location, hours can be hectic and long if working in field.

Stable job with opportunities to learn.

A relaxed environment with people who make the day feel less like work. There are opportunities for advancement if you're willing to learn. This company is quickly growing but comes with the growing pains associated with the transition from a small company to a large one. But overall a nice place to work.

Good opportunity for building your resume and experience

Nextech is a great place to work if you are interested in joining a stable, but fast growing company. There is opportunity to transfer to different divisions if you feel you may fit better and even an opportunity to relocate if applicable since the company is nationwide.

Unrivaled Support and Team Oriented

Never felt so supported and listened to at a job. Nextech is growing so quickly and eager to be the best, that they have never turned down an idea I had. I constantly think of various ways to do something and instead of no, I always get "let's give it a try" or some sort of collaboration comes together.Nextech identifies skills and abilities and pushes you to be your best. I started out as a simple administrator for the training system but my ability in creation and art was quickly recognized and they got me a new computer, art programs, video/audio programs and equipment so that I can create and optimize training resources. I'm now having the time of my life working with experts in the field making logos, posters, podcasts, and videos.

Cons

Far from home. I drive an hour from Orlando but its worth it.

team environment

Sourcing candidates and filling roles. I've learned about different licensure for techs depending on states. Management is okay. The culture has been alright so far. Hardest thing about my role is not receiving feedback/lack of communication. Most enjoyable part is the people.

Do not work for this company they don’t care about you your just a number !

Unorganized work overload

Everyday is a surprise. Never know if it’s a 10 hour day or a 16 hour day. Might as well be on-call all the time. The work itself is challenging and rewarding, but the management and dispatch interfere with every part of a workday. Questionable/ethical part replacements are demanded to increase profit margin.

corporate office is having employees flood indeed with great reviews bad place to work if you are a true tech if your a hack it's for you

Being over worked and under paid compared to the so called techs they hire that know basically nothing when it come to the type of equipment CMS sends them on

Fun Place to Work

Really good place to work. Helpful managers and plenty of work to go around. If you aren't a hard worker you may struggle here, but if you're motivated you can work your way up the ladder. Love this company

Supportive workplace and good culture

Casual, comfortable environment with caring leadership. While working with offices across the US, I've been pleasantly surprised at how well teams work together to support each other and get things done the best way.

What is the best part of working at the company?Company Vehicle and gas card What is the most stressful part about working at the company?How unorganized they are. Dispatchers are rude and if you aren’t in the click then you get what you get. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?They want you to work a 10 hour shift then do the overnights and then work your shift the next day. They don’t care aboutYour safety or you in general ! What is a typical day like for you at the company?It is just do what they tell you and don’t push back cause they will just mess with you like a child!!

Unprofessional with Bottom Tier Benefits

After touting professionalism as a core company value, had to follow up after a verbal offer to remind them to send a written offer. Upon finally receiving a written offer, found out benefits are pitiful. $300/month for their only decent health insurance plan, only accrue ~1.6 hours of PTO per week, can’t even say “3% 401k match” instead saying half of up to first 6% (so if you contribute 3% they’ll only match 1.5%). They give just enough benefits to make it look like they offer benefits without actually investing in their employees. If you’re in a bind or it’s your first job after college, go for it. Anyone in a professional position already will find little to no value from this company.
