When hired as a part time TA they take advantage of you. Does not matter how hard you work, there is no real way to get hired full time. They do not value those hard workers. Too many slackers sitting around taking the full time positions. (Certain departments, not all of them) I wasted a lot of time waiting for full time. Led on way too long. Finally moved on. I have never looked back.

If you are getting hired as a part time TA know that you will most likely never get hired as a full time position. There is no real advancement. You have to look at it as a temp position. They lay you off at between semesters and during the summer. No unemployment your just out of a job. No sick time, no vacation. Mcdonalds does better than that.

Already left. They still have the same slackers making 75,000 per year while the 13.00 and hour TA's bust their humps doing all the work. Management needs to clean house but they sit back and let it happen. Disgusting. I would have stayed if I could have gotten full time. Was lead on way to long waiting and working hard for a full time position. They do not value the hard workers.
