Volunteer Work (Former Employee) –  ArushaMay 19, 2019
Nord Anglia Education had a wonderful initiative in order to help the local people of Tanzania. The projects that we had worked on were of huge help and support to the surrounding environment.

Years of Chaos
Staff (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXOctober 2, 2018
This is specific to the NAE schools in Houston. They often advertise for positions that have already been filled. I would think twice about wasting time applying because they have already filled most listed positions from inside with an unqualified, but highly compliant friends of management. What they advertise on their website is nothing like the actual schools. The schools are chaotic, disorganized and ineffective. Working here is not only a terrible experience, but a negative mark on your career as other area schools know the poor reputation of the school. Pay and benefits are lower than other schools.
Pros
Houston is a fun city to live in.
Cons
Pay. Management. Benefits. Curriculum. Advancement. Environment.

Fish rots from the head first
Staff Member (Former Employee) –  Houston, txAugust 25, 2018
The former head of school left recently. However, the school was a mess before her and even more so after. In the past ten years, there have been five heads of school and each division has turned over as frequently too. The current administration were appointed( not interviewed) and none meet the basic qualifications for their position. Some heads are more qualified than others and it is obvious in how they run their division. The school is decades behind others in curriculum and instruction. It is run in a very authoritarian manner. Admin tells and you should follow blindly without question. The environment is toxic and apathetic. Many staff members are trying to find jobs elsewhere. No one actually likes the school and working there. Therr will never be improvements as unqualified and brown nosing people are favored over educated and honest people. Administration can't admit that the poor school quality is the reason the enrollment keeps decreasing.
Pros
Diversity.
Cons
Low pay, bad management, longer work day, few personal days, expensive benefits, no career growth for qualified people

The village school in Houston
teacher (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJune 6, 2018
There is a reason why there are so many open jobs at this company. Turnover is extremely high. Administration is unethical, unprofessional and rude. Pay is well below other public and private schools. Longer days, fewer personal days, longer school year, shorter breaks, micromanaging on lesson plans, no room for growth, no professional development, whining coworkers and a highly toxic enviornment. There are a few nice people, but they are walked all over by others so there is really no positive of being at this school. The kids and parents are very entitled and the school now excepts the kids that weren't allowed into other schools.
Pros
Diversity
Cons
Salary. Lack of time off. Administration. Environment.

Great Expectations?
Teacher (Former Employee) –  Washington DCMarch 10, 2018
They claim to be supportive of new teachers. But they expect one to teach their way rather quickly. Having not been educated in this I found they didn't give me enough time to learn. I guess I wasn't picking up fast enough because they let me go after only a few weeks.
Pros
Healthcare upon hire
Cons
Rigidity of other staff
