Government run education at its worst. Antiquated teaching and administrative practices, insulting pay, a "one size fits all" approach, administrators who wield entirely too much power over domains in which they are not qualified to, and and endless series of nonsensical "specialist" and "technician" jobs that are a waste of taxpayer money.

Hiring starts with an application to the school system. Most systems hire in late May throughout the summer months. Many schools are left with vacancies because of the teacher shortage in NC.
