My family has recently relocated to the OBX. My daughter just started Pre-K this year, so I am interested in going back to work part-time. I have been a stay at home Mommy for the last 4 years. I am interested in becoming a substitute teacher. I am not licensed, nor taught school before, however, I worked in the financial services industry (Credit Unions, specifically) for over 20 years. I have no doubt I would be great...I grew up with a Mom that was an AMAZING Elementary school teacher. Not to brag too much, she was the teacher that you would do ANYTHING to get your child in her class. Very hands on and constantly making learning fun. What are the requirements to substitute in NC primary schools? Would I even qualify with my background? I would GREATLY appreciate any advice. Thank you!
