Great place to teach
Adjunct Professor of History (Former Employee) –  Dahlonega, GAJune 18, 2016
Management at North Georgia College & State University was for the most part invisible, but very willing to help if needed. Coworkers were also handy for help.

I learned how not to teach from PowerPoint (keep something back to make them listen to you).

Grading for me was a full Saturday job to get things turned in on Friday back on Monday.

The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing students get enthusiastic about learning.
Pros
Good students
Cons
Tight budget.

Great place to work.
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Dahlonega, GAFebruary 1, 2013
Interacting with the Alumni, planning and working different events, and getting involved with other departments of the University were by far the most enjoyable aspects of my position. The most difficult part of the job involved the long working weekends and nights when most of the functions took place and required me to be away from my husband a great deal. Scheduling and working on multiple events at one time heightened my skills of multi-tasking. In addition to my daily workload, I was President of the University Staff Council.
Pros
building relationships with alumni in various age brackets.
Cons
so much time spent away from home.

North Georgia College & State University (NGCSU) is a four-year public university located in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, Georgia. It is designated as The Military College of Georgia. It is also designated by the University System of Georgia as a State Leadership Institution.

It has been a great place to work with friendly, intelligent, and driven faculty/staff. The campus is located in the beautiful N. Georgia Mountains with easy access to hiking/bike trails and national forest land.

Working with students and potential nurses is rewarding.
Assistant Professor Nursing (Current Employee) –  Dahlonega, GAApril 24, 2012
Office hours are Monday through Friday but 2 days a week is an on-site clinical supervision at an area hospital. Faculty is dedicated and hard-working. The hardest part of the job is that the work does not end @ 5PM. There are papers and tests to grade as well as class preparation. Most rewarding is the interaction with students and the opportunity to mentor.
Pros
the student interaction and 10 month contract
Cons
teachers pay and long work days.
