dishonest company
office employee (Former Employee) –  Robbinsdale, MNJuly 5, 2018
I really enjoy my position at North. Recently new management has come in and changed workflows and hours etc. The new leadership is not knowledgeable in workflows or processes. unfortunately finance department and upper management and directors will not listen to the employees that do the work. Now they are outsourcing work to companies that do not do the work and it is sent back to us to fix. waste of money. Management is dishonest and HR is not for the employees.

Cardiac Sonographer (Current Employee) –  Robbinsdale, MNJune 23, 2018
As I have worked for north these past few years too many changes have occurred. Unable to celebrate anything, no free lunches, no decor, not much to offer an employee and keep them satisfied.

I love the place. Dislike how it's managed.
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) –  Robbinsdale, MNJune 9, 2018
Always a fear of the bottom dropping out. Very management top heavy. Very high patient acuity. No breaks. Management spends money on foolish things, then tries to cut staff from the bottom up to save money. Poorly run.
Pros
Work with great MD's
Cons
The management claims the place is always broke, yet they still get their bonuses and enormous raises.

This is a good hospital for those who know their skills. This is a Level One trauma center/ They are here to take care of those who are to sick or injured for smaller hospitals to take care of.

Pros
Team culture, great benefits, positive work environment

lack of a communicated vision/mission at the Sr. level

Ultrasound Technologist (Current Employee) –  Minnetonka, MNMay 11, 2018
Great place to work although the clinic is new and still attracting new patients. This leads to a slow pace in the imaging department. Building is new and equipment is up to date and ergonomically set up.
Pros
Co Workers
Cons
no place on site to buy food

Registered Nurse- Med Surg, Psych, Surgery (Current Employee) –  Robbinsdale, MNMarch 24, 2018
OR management is horrible. They are extremely under staffed and extremely poor communicators. If you are low in seniority you will work a lot of holidays and get no summer vacation.

Emergency Medical Technician (Former Employee) –  Faribault, MNMarch 13, 2018
Average place to work, allows for a wide variety of medical skills to learn and be used. Management needs some improvement, might as well forget having an outside of work life, because it is highly unlikely to happen

Productive and fun place to work
phleobatomy (Current Employee) –  Robinsdale MNFebruary 23, 2018
The best hospital to work and to be treated as a patient. A typical day at North Memorial is very busy. I learned to pay attention for details while I work under high pressure. The management is excellent. The team members are good team player. The hardest part of the job is when we work hard and our Emergency Rooms are too busy. The most enjoyable part of the job is when all our patients get the best service and become satisfied with the service they get from us. To see every one of us do hard jobs to make sure every single patient get the best treatment. It is North Memorial's goal to provide an excellent service to it's clients.
Pros
good teamwork
Cons
short breaks

Care Coordinator (Current Employee) –  MinnesotaFebruary 19, 2018
I have been with this company for over 10 years and in a variety of roles. This has been a great company all around and I absolutely love my co-workers and the work environment, it's like family. Great pay and a great perspective on life. Lots of room to grow and learn about the healthcare industry if you are wanting to advance.
