Most shifts are 12 to 16 hours. If you choose 16 hour shifts then you aren't supposed to be required to work any longer that day. Many staff get about 6 hours (or less) at home before they have to work another shift.

I’ve never stayed just 8 hours. It’s always been at least 9. Typically at least 3 days a week I have to stay for a double (16 hour) shift. You can work 16 hour shifts 7 days a week though, if that’s what you want. They’re ridiculously short staffed and don’t care about their employee’s health.

You’ll be stuck working more than what you signed up for.
