Clinical Case Manager (Former Employee) – Queensbury, NY – February 14, 2019
Northern Rivers is a great company to work for. You are exposed to many different people with different life styles. I learned how to interact with different personalities and provide leadership and guidance. The hardest part of the job was time management, but you are forced to develop great habits. The most enjoyable part of the job was the mixture between an office/desk job and working in the community. That kept things fresh everyday.
Science Teacher (Former Employee) – Albany, NY – January 18, 2019
I have truly enjoyed working at Northern Rivers. The staff members are so supportive of one another and work together to hep students to find success after school. No, the salary is not as much as working in a public school but the benefits of working in small groups with students that need one-on-one attention is very rewarding. Northern Rivers has provided significant training in how to work with at-risk youth, and have prepared me to work with students from varied backgrounds. Northern Rivers does provided tuition reimbursement, which allowed me to get my Special Education certification while working full-time.
Free lunches, great co-workers
lots of emotional involvment, lower pay than public school
Manager (Current Employee) – Albany, NY – December 28, 2017
major disconnect between work processes and accountability of the processes... really depends on department / program your work within see no room for advancement and the managers and those in position above are cliquish and promote or hire those that suit their purposes
