If you were in charge, what would you do to make Northside Hospital a better place to work?
They did pretty much everything to make it a great place to work including relief nurses to break you for lunch and insurance plan that offered no co-pay or deductible if you used their hospital.
I was a prior vendor for Northside and got to know most of the department managers. When I decided to seek employment at Northside, I called the manager in the department I was interested in and went through the interview process and was hired.
Good ole boy culture in Canton. Progressive, professional culture at Northside Atlanta-two totally different cultures.

No. You are sent an email confirmation with your drug screen information. drug tests are taken on campus at forsyth and cherokee and for atlanta you are sent to a 3rd party facility. They conduct a urine drug screen and blood work. Urine is fr the drug screen and the blood work is for TB testing.
Patient Access in ER has a high turnover. Management turns a blind eye to bullying, discrimination, micro managing. The stress is high and there are not enough people hired to do the job. Each person is expected to do the work of 2 people. The pace is fast and management is mainly concerned with collections.
They conduct background checks that go back 7 years. Anything over 7 years from the disposition date cannot be used. If you have something old-keep your mouth shut. We won't know unless you tell us. If something comes back, a statement will be collected and we will review with our employee relations to see if we will continue with our onboarding process.
