It’s stressful, unnecessary amounts of pressure, lack of leadership, lack of communication, unorganized, and to be honest the list goes on. The better you are the more you’re required to do but without getting anything in return and yet, other coworkers with the same job title that have been there for years are paid just as much but don’t even know how to do their jobs. Management goes out of their way to make sure you’re well aware of any mistake you ever make but neglect to mention anything positive you do. If you identify a problem with the product it’s seen as your fault because “it was just fine”. If you fix a problem any amount of time it takes is “too much down time and you need to hurry”. You’ll never be promoted no matter how good you are because “it would cost to much to fill your position”. Absolutely no training, you have to learn as go but if you run into a problem you’ve never seen before you’re treated is if you have no idea how to do your job. You could do everything right, be there best employee, always have a great attitude, put your heart and soul into improving anything you can it still won’t be good enough. Their main priorities are saving money and sending out product and it’s extremely contradicting because you’ll have to make adjustments to keep the product in spec because it would “cost money” if they invested in more efficient equipment. If the adjustments you have to make In order to keep the product in spec create any downtime at all you’ll be interrogated as to why and no explanation will be good enough. Depending on job job title the pay is decent, benefits, and HR is really friendly

Bad management

Bad management I don’t see this being a good long term job management is running the place down run you to death all day long then tell you you only work 15 days a month and the mouth you have to tolerate is absolutely stupid

They have a skill development program which is linked to compensation, quarterly bonus and career opportunities. Cross training has high priority, they do pay performance bonuses quarterly, once a month they serve free lunch and lately we even got a heat bonus for the hot summer months.

Rough work , unbelievably low pay

Extrusion Operator (Current Employee) - Dalton, GA - February 15, 2021

This is very rough work for the pay at only $16. part of the problem is everyone makes the same, if you have to operate machines, run mixing and tacked with training others you make the same as someone who runs end of line catching trim, taking breaks and smoking all day. Even with proper PPE you will leave with burns and cuts. Competitors are offering upwards of $25-26 for the same job. One has even put a billboard up in front of the plant. There are some good people here and couple of good supervisors,but there are alot of bad apples here that make work miserable. Maybe one day it will change and my review will change, but right now this is the current state of things. You will walk in with high hopes but end up disenchanted with the process.

Cons

Competitors offering 50% higher pay, Cameras 24/7, low pay, everyone not treated equally

With numerous positions to fill, there are several options for advancement. Additionally, the management team focuses on providing growth opportunities and promotes innovation within the team.

Plant start up and it takes time to iron all the details out and open the lines of comunication

You feel you are in safe hands. Novalis has a strong family culture. They provide state of the art technology for their employees and offer everything needed to do a job well. The Novalis Family is very tight and everyone helps everyone. Novalis is a fun and happy place, while there is a lot of hardwork going one it is still fun.

Fantastic Culture, Team Collaborative
