Work environment is an okay place to work. You are challenged from day to day with different tasks preformed throughout the plant. I recommend this employer.

I worked with a lot of ivy league dummies losing a lot of money, pursuing the latest trends without understanding the fundamentals. Some companies never learn their lesson.

Contractor in Remote
on August 2, 2022
I worked a remote contract position with NRG attained through a third party agency. The work was fine as I spent most of my time there building web pages. I used a CMS that I was unfamiliar with and given next to no documentation on how it to use it, but as they all tend to work the same I was able to adapt. Received a crash course in using the CMS, which had a multitude of tedious steps to get the pages to look precisely the way you needed it to. My supervisor helped me greatly and was a saint, but I could tell lost patience with me whenever I forgot one of the hundred steps needed to format pages correctly. Truthfully, errors were made on my part when creating these web pages, but they were caught before going live. Daily Teams meetings were had with the department I was in, but honestly most of these meetings really could have been an email. Co-workers were nice, but I rarely interacted with any of them and the atmosphere was a tad cliquey. I'm an introvert, so my interactions with the rest of the team was all on me, of course. Towards the end of my contract, I was given less work to do and I felt a tad ghosted by my supervisor. There were days where I worked with zero contact from them, even when messaged. My contract was ended two weeks early with no reasons given. No end of contract feedback was given to me or my recruiter, so we were left scratching our heads despite positive early feedback at the start. In the end, I made a lot of cash, learned some stuff, and was able to add another great experience to my resume. 8/10 would do again!
Customer Service Representative in Remote
on July 27, 2022
Worked as a customer service representative. Had 1 month of training. A lot material to learn. Was very challenging. High call volume. Only benefit was the bonuses and off weekends.
