Marketing Director in Palo Alto, CA
NurseRegistry uniquely intersects the business and healthcare world, and that is apparent in all that we do. We have nurses in management positions, and I have to say that their compassion is engrained in the company culture.
Within a few short weeks, I felt as though I was a member of a tight-knit family, and that feeling only continues to grow each and every day. When you are a part of a company that helps people in need, it's hard not to be passionate about your work.
One of the biggest advancements here is the motivation to learn! Management and staff alike are all encouraged to read, learn, and share insight. All of these positive elements of workplace culture trickle down into our community of nurses; nurses have the opportunity to shadow on assignments and can attend inservices to brush up on their skills.
There is no way I could sum up how impressed I am with the NurseRegistry Team—all I can say is that i'm proud to be part of it.
Nurse Scheduler in Palo Alto,CA
Nurse Registry understands that everyone has a life outside of work. Management allows for flexibility in schedule for sick time, vacation, appointments, and family emergencies when reasonable. We celebrate people's birthdays and other special occasions with work lunches and often have lunch together in or outside of the office for no special occasion at all. One con to flexibility in the schedules is sometimes the workload can be more if less people are in the office. It's very public transportation accessible. Which is good because it can be hard to find parking (especially without a permit). The area is a bit crowded since it is downtown and near Stanford. Most restaurants and coffee shops are busy and take a long time during lunch hours (and are expensive!)
Dir of Operations in Palo Alto, CA
We often spend more hours with our coworkers than we do with family & friends. It's so important to enjoy the time and respect the people you're with. Management has always been super flexible and understands work/life balance. There is a lot of room to grow in one's career - more than one would expect from a traditional small office. Being in downtown Palo Alto of course has wonderful benefits - GREAT food, public transit, etc.
