Obion County Schools is a fantastic place to work! It truly is a family atmosphere, not only with students, but with staff as well. I feel appreciated and valued.

School system is great

Working as a substitute teacher is pretty fun. Other faculty is helpful and students are generally well behaved. Great sense of family among employees.

encourages self motivation

Great people, no room to advance, caring for children is rewarding. When you come in the door you are met with smile and good mornings. The rest of the day is spent gathering objective and subjective data to care for children and adults.

weekends, holidays and summers off.

not being able to meet all the childrens needs

Stressful without work days during inservice to collaborate with colleagues

I felt I was always stressed for time to complete and understand the requirements of teaching middle school. If there were inservice work days to help new teachers it would have been a valuable asset to a new teacher.
