Internship (Former Employee) –  Al AthaibaJune 24, 2018
Occidental Oman is one of the best place to work at. it helped me learn plethora of things like assisting how wells are performing, do the company is achieving what it predicted etc. it has one of the best management as it value its employees and consider them as an asset for the organization. The hard time of the job was that it does not provide transportation. however, it really cares about its employees by helping the employees to achieve a work life balance.
Pros
free coffee, tea and juices
Cons
no transportation for the employees

Solid E&P company located in Houston, TX. Was able to navigate the downturn in the energy industry and seems to have successfully made the transition to a new management team after a proxy fight.

OTS ELECTRICAL & AUTOMATION ENGINEERING MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Midland, TXApril 6, 2018
Oxy EOR is the place to work if you are going to work for Oxy. RBL, a third party company, reorganized the company and did a fantastic job, however, the Resources Business Units wanted to do it their own way and created the worst place to work ever. The morale in Resources is horrible and lead to me leaving the company. HR on the Resources Business Units is strictly there for the management and NOT advocates for the workers. Over-all I love Oxy EOR and the CEO, Vicki Hollab, are the reasons I would look to Oxy as a career. She is incredible and the people of EOR make you feel like part of a family.
Pros
EOR Business Unit and the CEO are incredible
Cons
Mid level and some of the upper level management are horrible in Resources

Senior HES Advisor (Former Employee) –  Dickinson, NDMarch 6, 2018
Sometime Oxy management was a little click-ish, and was difficult to start in took time to break the ice. They are very likely to have extreme ups and downs with the energy business. They do very will with old fields but do not know how to open a new one.
Pros
excellent benifits
Cons
same as nay E&P

Young technical staff, had some great experienced employees as well. Manager changes really affected the team dynamics and the corporate restructuring finally became too toxic to deal with.

Cons
Management changes and coroporate restructuing led to many good employees leaving the company.
