Union Salespeople Only Consider Themselves
Written by Route Sales (Former Employee) from Roseville, MN on January 2, 2018
I can't say it is unique to Old Dutch because in most union settings there are a strong contingent of people that come to work every day ready to tell management what they don't have to do. There was a time when unions were necessary to protect workers and provide fair wages but I think most organizations could function without them today. There is - more ... a divide between management and the sales force that promotes animosity rather than collaboration and when any attempt at job innovation has to be cleared with the company and the union it creates slow moving and mostly vanilla change that doesn't m ... - less
ProsGreat amount of autonomy, No micromanaging
ConsLong days, commision structure, union politics are couter productive
