I enjoyed working for the Olympus ENT division. While you could make a great living here, it is peanuts compared to the GI division. Some product issues and missteps prevented taking more market share. I had excellent front-line managers here, despite the micro-management of higher-ups.
Overall, a great place to work and be recognized.
-Days included being in the OR and clinics, typically a 7am-5pm + situation
-Too many things to list but mostly how to really hone my selling skills for both capital and disposables
-management trending towards micro-management and loading up on "reports"
-People within the ENT division were collaborative, good teammates
-Hardest part was dealing with recalls and lackluster product performance, also the amount of office work was preventing selling activities
-The best was taking market share from competitors and providing wins for the customer
