Intern in Omaha, NE
on September 4, 2020
The company culture was great - everyone there was passionate about the arts. There were many opportunities to attend various events. As an intern, yes, you'll be doing a lot of paperwork but there's a lot to learn as well. I do think OPA would thrive more if they updated their workspace to an ad agency/tech company/more creative type set-up (cubicles aren't it). The office set-up feels very outdated, but that's about my only complaint. It was great that the internship was paid because for internships in the arts/entertainment sector, that's very hard to find.

The culture is the best part about working for Omaha Performing Arts. If I could, I would've Stayed here forever! If you love the arts and need a creative outlet, OPA is the place.
Electronic Content Coordinator in Omaha, NE

This is a dream job for anyone who loves the arts and engaging with the community. Compensation and opportunities for advancement are the downsides to working for a small nonprofit. There was also a lot of turnover within my department for a few years.
Douglas Street - Patron Representative in Omaha, NE

I loved my customer service & interaction with the patrons at the performing arts, people were wanted that exciting experience & fun away from everyday life. Working and taking care of family everday and then being able to come and listen, watch the extrodinary acts of the broadway plays concerts etc was a amazing getaway for all. And just seeing joy on their faces made my job there more than a job but a home away from home that made everyone happy!
