Hostile. Management will lie to your face. No one reads employee handbook and policies seem to change to the convenience of management.
Not a fan of OPAA management. The under-staff has a stronger work ethic, actual kitchen experience and able to handle emergencies much better than the management.
Where I'm at we have 4 people total cooking for the entire school. So it's very fast pace from the time you get there until you leave. It can be stressful, with only 4 people there's little training where I'm at. I've worked at 2 different opaa schools and can say the kitchen setup that the school has can make a huge difference. An open kitchen that has one line for all grades is less stressful than a kitchen setup up that has elementary and highschool that's separated. The open kitchen means someone can easily explain what you need to do while they're doing their stuff. A divided kitchen you're basically on your own trying to figure it out. Which can be frustrating if you have no prior opaa experience.
