Great benefits and culture with lack of rewards
I do love working for this company but that being said, they constantly talk about how much money the company has made and then when it comes to review times they tell us due to "changes" they are not giving the usual percentage for raises. There is constantly shifts in management they never stay the same for very long. You can start out as a coder and get moved up and your pay never really increases why would you want to have more responsibility and not get paid for it?
Pros
Very open to changing hours around to accommodate appts, kids, etc.
Cons
Always being monitored by our mouse movements, can barely get up to use the restroom, they offer CEUs but they can't be done on the clock even when we have no inventory.

Was great at first, but...
Great place for new coders to gain experience. Great education. Once you have gained some experience, I would suggest moving on. You can be let go at any time, even if you excel at quality and production. Every click of a key or mouse is monitored. They mainly hire contractors, which means you never get a salary increase, and there is a very low chance of getting hired full time. Not a place for an experienced coder. If you are a beginner, this would be a good start.
Pros
Work from home. Great education. Company provides equipment.
Cons
No job security. Very low pay. Extremely micromanaged. Furloughed every year.

The company is difficult to work for.
I worked for Optum for almost 2 years and i didn't enjoy it very much. The hours during over time period were ridiculous, the pay was too low and the option to move higher in the company was not possible. Also, at the time they were inconsistent with information.
