This program is a joke when you have a car with a small evaporative leak (your old gas can leaks more gas vapor) and the vehicle will fail, next a car will come in smoking and smelling so bad everyone gets smoked out and it passes no issue. When the State starts to be in compliance with standards they just raise the standards. Its mostly the poverty stricken that fail and if you have a conscious it will take its toll on you.
No. The company bids on the new contracts with other prospective company's. Contracts are usually a couple years, so that can be stressful for employees as well.
Some of the rude customers as well as you can test up to 100 vehicles easy on a busy day. The pay rate is insulting.
Stressful in the high volume stations with non reflecting pay. They definitily play favorites and will punish you with lower hours for any reason if they don't like you. They make new rules everyday and try to micromanage even the station manager. Its really difficult to say anything good about the Ohio Program.
I was there for almost a tenure and feel I have wasted my time.
They give you so many hours per pay period depending on your position. It was similar to the vacation time but you still needed a doctors note for any more than one days time sick.
Pretty flexible if you give notice about wanting to change shift with somebody.
Informal and very laid back,
Applied in station
Just be yourself.
