Is it really true that there are no yearly bonuses or raises?

In case people are still interested, it has just been announced, no payrises/bonuses this year either... mine is 12th year running despite good reviews.. so agree with others, work is interesting but do not expect financial compensation, and also true that easiest way to get promotion or pay rise is to leave and come back. I reviewed all feedback on this chain and all fair and honest. When there are pay rises, it is very secretive not consistent across departments and really down to how much your manager fights your corner.

I previously worked for Oracle Consulting for 5 years and got a raise every year. Bonuses were hit or miss, though. Consulting does alot of things differently than the rest of the company though.

Sounds like a place I would not want to work. No yearly increases, just a review. Interesting. What a way to reward your hard working Oracle Analysts who are the 1st line on the floor. I worked there when it was Micros, and they gave small tiny increases. I left when they stopped the OT. in 2011, earned 7k more than my salary with OT. I worked there 2 years. It was my first Help Desk job out of college. I received a $100 on the spot bonus for coming to work during a major snowstorm, many people called out. Owner thanked us, and provided pizza that day. Only time I received a bonus from Micros. Sounds like things are worse now with no increases.

Unfortunately, recruitment at Oracle is sorely lacking in truthful information. When you are hired (at least where I was) I was told 30% bonus and even in the best of times it just didn't materialize despite years of exceed ratings. At the end of the day Oracle pays poorly without some sort of bonus and they don't tell you the real truth on the way in and you just get caught up in the whole dog eat dog Oracle culture. My advice try a company that doesn't just treat it's employees like cattle and send them to the slaughter.
