Graduate Teaching Assistant in Corvallis, OR
on November 17, 2022

The work environment in my department was supportive and fostered growth while the disruption to research activity was minimal. Overall a fantastic place for graduate school even if you don't end up with an RA position.

Manager in Corvallis, OR
on October 27, 2022

OSU is very siloed so each department can provide a very different employee experience. I'm in a department that is progressive and values creativity. The only downside is the pay is way below market value.

The health insurance is great! Pay is okay, could be better. The union tries pretty hard to bargain for better pay. Admin treats grad employees as students when it suits them and employees when it suits them. So we do get the short end of the stick some times.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Corvallis, OR
on September 30, 2022

Not a whole lot to be done about the salary/benefits since it’s set by the government. Really need to find the lab and mentor that you mesh with to find success

Food Service Worker in Corvallis, OR
on September 28, 2022

I worked there as a student worker. People are nice, they make sure that everyone is following the procedure on handling food and proper lunch/break time. You also get 50% off for one meal per work day.
