Culture is important here. You work with a lot of people who genuinely want to help others. It isn't always perfect, but compared to other places I've been it's a huge improvement.
The culture is a positive culture that is constantly trying to improve. We focus on our patients and even clerical roles play a pertanent part in our patients experience. The work environment is positive and if you have an innovative drive, you will see the potential to move up in the company quickly. My suggestion for anyone joining a new company is to network with your peers, and learn all you can! You never know how that effort could help you with your next opportunity.
Clinical staff are abused and worked to death. Clinical staff shortages are an everyday occurrence. The current CEO leads by intimidation and bullying. There are two hospitals in Peoria, IL which creates a monopoly for OSF St. Francis Medical Center. The current CEO takes advantage of this employment monopoly by relentlessly abusing clinical staff. Clinical staff should consider unionizing.
This is a great small hospital, the staff works together well and generally seem pleased to be at work.
