OSL tells you you are not supposed to unless there is a phone item, but my Team Leader required it

You cannot, the reason for this being Walmart home office and OSL have an agreement that OSL is in stores to sell phones and accessories. If an OSL employee gets caught up “cashiering” all day that leaves little time to bring awareness and added revenue to Walmart through cellphone sales and negates the whole reason OSL is there.

Yes you can. As long as you remain in the electronics department and use that register.
