I've been a foreman for almost a year. They will pay for meals if you are traveling 4+ hours to your poles up to $60 a day if you are driving all day. Then they pay $100/week if you are away from home for more that a week. Example: I drove to NY from ID in 3 days. All food payed for up to $60. You do not get $60, they expense up to $60. You spend $30, they expense it but they don't give you the other $30.
