PATIENT SERVICE COORDINATOR (Former Employee) –  Indianapolis, INJune 1, 2019
The hardest part is when one doctor is running behind and other patients are being called back for a different doctor. Those other patients get upset and think you have forgot about them.

The most enjoyable part was hearing how the doctor help that patient so much.

A typical day was a five to six doctor day so always busy and keep the day going with phones ringing as well.
Pros
Sometimes free lunch
Cons
Sometimes no time for a beak or a full lunch break.

Medical Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Fairfax, VAApril 19, 2017
working at Otolaryngology was ok. Coworkers are friendly and sometimes helpful. Management sucks. They never want to help you. You could have an angry patient cussing you out, yelling at you, and they don't even bother to step in. Someone could need an asap appointment, and they don't help you with things like that either. No phones were allowed, but the "favorite" on was/is on her phone the whole time, just like management. There is no place for growth anymore unless you beg, but even then it's hard. Workers aren't allowed to part in the parking lot, they have to park in the street. They don't even care about giving you your yearly review and raise. All they really care about is making the doctors money, they don't care about the workers or patients at all.
Pros
health & dental insurance
Cons
managemant, room for growth, pay
