Good Workplace, yet too disorganized
Receptionist (Current Employee) –  Surprise, AZApril 17, 2019
Good place to work, and my manager was phenomenal, yet it is very disorganized with alot of cooks in the kitchen. Some staff will not return messages or calls for a while, making for some tricky situations for us at the front desk. Staff often leave for lunch without letting us know, which leaves students often upset. Despite this, staff is very friendly and hardworking.
Pros
Laid back, management is very accessible to employees
Cons
Disorganized, No room for advancement

It has been over 20 plus years that I worked for this University and would not be fair to them at this time of such a past due evaluation. Please do not take any of this evaluation at this time.

Adjunct Instructor (Current Employee) –  Phoenix, AZSeptember 24, 2018
These courses are 8 weeks long and I enjoy being an adjunct instructor because they incorporate feedback, give me a variety of classes to teach, do not OVER micromanage, and give teachers freedom to be creative in addition to following what is required.

The hardest part of the job is the low pay, considerably lower than other universities/community colleges.
Pros
Easy to work with, plenty of adjunct positions
Cons
limited room for advancement or full time teaching, lower pay than other colleges for adjunct instructors

You are only allowed to work less than 8 hours a week. This means that you will be getting paychecks of $80 every two weeks. This is not a good position for anyone who needs to pay student loans.

Ottawa University
Enrollment Advisor (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZDecember 7, 2017
Long days, fast paced, worth every second of helping this non profit university go forward to launch the Surprise campus in Az. The faculty, deans, courses, programs are second to none.
This is one excellent University, and being non profit there are enrollment criteria, one does not just get accepted. Additionally, the campus executive is excellent, and if you want the very best in leadership you can expect it here.
Hardest part is low pay. Not earning market rate for the expected work and stress.
Pros
Excellent Uuniversity, leadership, deans, faculty
Cons
Pay not market value
