I had been very fortunate to have had excellent supervisors.
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) – Appleton, WI – May 12, 2018
Excellent benefits, had a great job I loved! Young, very inexperienced management took over. I feel change is the never ending best parts of life. Change, just for the sake of change, isn't always productive. I work best as a productive member of a team, opposed to being frequently blindsided.
Economic Support Specialist (Former Employee) – Appleton, WI – August 10, 2018
Don't hold any illusions that it will be a great place to work at and you could retire from there. It is all about the budget and how to keep cutting it. This is an employer that is understaffed and maintains a very stressful and almost hostile environment. They impose vastly unrealistic performance expectations and pretend like they are helping you be successful. Salary promised won't happen and when you cost them a dime, you will be gone. Supervisors mostly hide instead of participate and training is disorganized and inadequate to say the least. Horrible experience. Look elsewhere.
Lots of paid sick days.
You will need all of the sick days to manage your sanity.
Manager (Current Employee) – Appleton, WI – January 29, 2018
Plenty of work to do with limited resources. Work-life balance can be tough with amount of work assigned. Many departments across the enterprise run as their own separate entity and do not adhere to the executives oversight.
Nursing (Former Employee) – Wisconsin – August 14, 2017
Management doesn't make you feel as you do a good job. You can work very hard, pick up hours, work doubles and nobody seems to care. Once you are there 8 years no more pay increases. Lots of bullying and nothing is done about it. You might work alone. New hire staff seem to quit.
Insurance, health care.
Not be appreciated, to many rule changes, resident care doesnt seem to matter like it use to, bad management.
Deputy Coroner (Former Employee) – Appleton, WI – December 21, 2015
The work within the corners office allowed for investigations into deaths, natural and by other means to understand the reasons and why into death. This type of position requires patience and understanding of the loss to a family, and how to approach areas where vital information is needed to complete an investigation.
Learning the function of the human body, reason for causes of death
Custodian/Maintenance (Current Employee) – Appleton, WI – June 28, 2015
Everybody is very considerate at work, they are actually friend's. I had learned how to do expertise floor work. The winter month's are definitely harder, but that is every where. Management is alway's willing to listen to new idea's. The most enjoyable part of the job is at the end of the day you see the result's of perfection cleanliness.
