Hard working staff never appreciated and often intimidated
RA (Current Employee) –  WisconsinJune 26, 2018
Management at all levels cares about admitting residents without staff to care for them. Record amount of staff have left since this company bought us, leaving the rest of us to work long hours for days on end! We do not dare say no because there is always retaliation! New management stopped all staff meetings and told us to "schedule a time if needed she's too busy". They do not listen, they are cold, money focused, dishonest and uncaring. Terrible work atmosphere--hostile and intimidating. Run, don't even do the interviews!
Pros
Residents and great staff
Cons
Management is self centered, phony, dishonest and just mean!

Hostile work environment!
Resident Assistant (Former Employee) –  Cannon Falls, MNApril 25, 2018
I worked here for almost 2 years. Poor management; management never stayed for long periods of time, understaffed, forced to work double shifts; sometimes multiple days in a row. There was never enough staff to tedident ratio. All they cared about was filling the senses. People were fired left and right all the time and management was hostile to staff.
Pros
It’s a job
Cons
Hostile work environment, poor management, under staffed, under paid, employees not treated equally, employees blamed and fired for things they never did even after proven.

Worst job ever
Personal Care Assistant (Former Employee) –  Ellsworth WiMarch 13, 2018
This was the worst place I have ever worked. It don't even deserve one star but I can't leave zero stars it makes you leave at least one star. It almost felt like high school amoung the employees, I never really fit it, i always felt like an outsider there.
They all gossip about each other. You never felt like you did a job well done you only hear the negatives which were always petty. You are lucky if you get a break. Always short handed since no one stays there long.
Horrible place to work...unless you like drama and not being able to fit in. Everyday was the longest 10 hours of my life! Worst work environment ever!
Pros
Nothing

No one cares about you

Terrible company to work for
Resident assistant (Former Employee) –  WisconsinMarch 9, 2018
Oxford is has an underhanded way of managing, bordering on unethical.
Money is the bottom line, not the residents.
Constantly understaffed, with lots of petty backbiting and gossip among employees
Pros
Lovely residents
Cons
Bad management

If you want to learn and grow with a company, Oxford is the place! Great opportunities and a fast-paced company, growing bigger every day! Lots of potential if you like to work hard, be challenged and are wanting to invest your potential in a company that supports it's employees!

Run the other way
Resident Assistant (RA) (Former Employee) –  La Crescent, MNFebruary 23, 2018
Management doesn't care about residents or staff. State rules and regulations are not followed. Short staffed. Pay not worth it. Mandated to work double shifts. In office management not good. They take residents who should be in a nursing home. Stressful environment. They smile and act like it's a good place to work, but after being there, attitudes change. Very inflexible.
Pros
residents nice
Cons
staff conflicts, sucky management, it's only about dollar signs

This place is a joke!
Director (Former Employee) –  Faribault, MNJanuary 30, 2018
They don't care about their customers or the residents they are supposed to serve. The management is literally incompetent. Not worth your time for benefits or pay. Look somewhere else.

Resident Assistant (Former Employee) –  Cannon Falls, MNNovember 11, 2017
Didn't listen to staff about concerns. Had favorites. People were mandated to work double shifts on a regular basis. Didn't care about the all being of there employees or there residents. It was always about the bottom line money in there pockets! How sad🤔
Pros
Can not think of any
Cons
Stay away

Poor management
Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) –  MinnesotaOctober 28, 2017
No support at all from corporate or upper management, stressful because you can't get answers from management, revolving door for staff, unprofessional management team and unethical because they only care about the numbers even with constant complaints from residents/families, hard to do your job when you aren't able to get a hold of management or get no response.
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
No paid holidays for FT staff, very high medical insurance

I enjoyed working for Oxford. It was a good group of people to work with. I really enjoyed what I was doing. I would love to go back to the company if I was to ever to move back to Michigan.

Caring place to work.
Home Health Aide (HHA) (Former Employee) –  Cannon Falls, MNFebruary 22, 2014
Plenty of opportunity to work. Can order meals at a discounted price.
Always busy; never a dull moment. The hardest part of the job is dealing with behaviors. The most enjoyable part of the job is spending time with residents to listen to their stories.
Cons
short breaks; behaviors of residents.
